Communications consultancy BECG has acquired Scottish public affairs and planning communications consultancy Liberty One (L1) Communications.

The move is expected to spearhead BECG’s expansion into the Scottish market.
L1 has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, with clients in the property, energy, infrastructure, renewables and waste management markets.
L1’s founder and managing director Steven Park will continue in his current role.
BECG chief executive Stephen Pomeroy said: “Over the past year working in partnership with L1 on projects in Scotland we have built a strong relationship that we are now ready to take to the next level through this acquisition, and we are excited about the opportunities for BECG, L1 and Cavendish Advocacy clients.
