Mace – the global consultancy and construction company – has been named ‘Contractor of the Year (turnover over £500m)’ at the Construction News Awards 2020.
The annual awards were held virtually for the first time on Thursday 26 November; and Mace overcame competition from four industry-leading peers to be crowned contractor of the year.
The judges said they were “highly impressed by Mace” and said its strong entry in the category laid out the impact of “clear policies on diversity, carbon reduction and modern methods of construction”. They added that our ‘Safety First’ programme “is an excellent campaign across the group” and also praised our clear commitment to paying its supply chain on time.
Mace’s Group CEO Mark Reynolds, said:
“I am honoured that Mace has been selected as contractor of the year by the Construction News awards – and it is a particular honour to be selected amongst such as esteemed group of contractors. I would like to pay tribute to all of the Mace colleagues for all their hard work and effort this year. I would also like to thank our clients for their support; and our supply chain who have helped us to deliver some fantastic and amazing projects.”
