Continued Supply Chain Growth Expands Customer Delivery Options in South Florida

April 15, 2021

The Home Depot opened three new distribution centers to provide a variety of customer delivery options to the South Florida region. The company plans to open two additional Miami distribution centers in 2022. Together, these five facilities are expected to create more than 150 new full- and part-time jobs across the region.

The new flatbed distribution center — a 332,000-square-foot facility in Miami, Florida — provides flatbed delivery of bulk and oversized orders to customers and stores across the region. It expands the aisles of stores with direct-to-store shipments each day, providing a broader range of available products directly to customers.

The company will further expand appliance delivery options in Miami, having recently opened new delivery locations in West Palm Beach and Fort Myers. A new appliance delivery operation and an additional distribution center are planned for Miami in 2022, which will expand both DIY and Pro customers same-day and next-day delivery options. These new locations increase The Home Depot’s capability to deliver large and bulky orders directly to a customer’s home or job site.
