Lockton Capital Markets welcomes Michael Goodstein as Senior Advisor | Lockton Companies

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 28, 2020) – Lockton Capital Markets (LCM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Goodstein as Senior Advisor.

“We are thrilled that a professional of Michael’s capabilities and reputation is joining our team,” said Ken Pierce, Chief Executive Officer of Lockton Capital Markets. “With over 30 years of experience, Michael’s deep knowledge of insurance and environmental law, litigation and claim financing will be a great addition to LCM’s capital raising and advisory services for our corporate and asset management clients.”

Currently, Mr. Goodstein is a partner at the law firm of Van Ness Feldman LLP and represents private and public clients in environmental dispute resolution, including matters under federal and state law, contracts and common law, cost recovery, contribution and indemnification. 

Before joining Van Ness Feldman, Mr. Goodstein served as President and shareholder at Hunsucker Goodstein PC. He also served 12 years with the United States Justice Department in the Environmental Enforcement Section and twice received the John Marshall Award, one of the Department’s highest honors. 

Mr. Goodstein holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a juris doctor degree from Cornell.
