Man arrested for posting false news on social media
A 35-year old male from Kadugannawa had been arrested by the CID for publishing a false post on social media stating that a person collapsed and died on the road due to Covid-19.
Police said yesterday that they are investigating to find people who spread false news on social media stating that people are collapsing on the road after contracting Covid-19.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that four more individuals who shared similar post on social media have been identified and would be arrested.
