DFT announce guidance for truckers engaged in UK > EU movements

On Wednesday 18th November the Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps announced that:

• 45 information and advice sites to prepare hauliers for the end of the transition period are now open across the UK
• The sites will offer hauliers one-to-one training on the new procedures coming into place, with support available in 13 different languages
• The Haulier Handbook is  now available on GOV.UK acting as a one-stop-shop for key information and advice

In general terms the sectors seems to have welcomed this announcement and much of the information is geared towards helping hauliers understand the additional documents that they will require to have in their possession (and in some cases check) in order to prevent delays.
