The Group was recognised for its policies on female leadership and talent portfolio, equal pay and gender parity and policies against sexual harassment

NH Hotel Group has been included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index 2021 (GEI Gender-Equity Index) for its commitment and contribution to gender equality through policies that help to make visible and improve the presence of women in the company. Included for the second consecutive year, the Group made its debut in the 2020 index.

The GEI’s objective is to analyse the performance of companies committed to gender equality in the workplace. Specifically, it analyses the measures that each company has developed in five basic pillars: female leadership and talent portfolio, equal pay and gender parity, inclusive culture, policies against sexual harassment and the pro-woman brand. The 2021 index includes 380 companies from 44 countries and regions belonging to eleven different sectors, such as tourism, automotive and banking. NH Hotel Group has been included for obtaining a score equal to or higher than the global threshold established by Bloomberg, which reflects its high level of commitment and performance in the five pillars. The chain has obtained its best results in the pillars of female leadership and talent portfolio, equal pay and gender parity, and policies against sexual harassment. This is demonstrated not only in the recognition by Bloomberg GEI in the past two years but also the inclusion of the Company in the EQUILEAP 2019 Ranking, positioning it as a leading company in Spain in defence of gender equality and in the Top 100 worldwide (position 48). In this way, the company continues to prioritise the continuation of a long-term project of real management of the diversity of employees in all its aspects and to support their professional development within the Group.
