Green light for joint company with CapMan Infra to increase fiber penetration in Finland

After having secured the necessary approval from relevant authorities, Telia Company today completed the transaction which enables an accelerated roll-out of open fiber in Finland in co-operation with CapMan Infra.

On October 31, 2019 Telia Company announced an accelerated fiber roll-out in Finland in line with the continued effort to create best network experience across platform. The roll-out will be performed in co-operation with with Capman Infra, the infrastructure investments arm of Nordic private asset management firm CapMan.

The parties today closed the transaction where Telia Company holds a 40 percent stake in the new company which takes over Telia Finland’s existing SDU fiber roll-out business ‘Avoin Kuitu’, which has roughly 20,000 homes passed. Telia Company will provide the fiber access network with communications operator services.
