Sainsbury’s opens new Wootton Local store

Sainsbury’s is pleased to announce that its new Local store on Folkes Road, Wootton, officially opened its doors at 7am on Sunday 28th June, offering customers a convenient choice of quality food for fantastic value. Headteacher of nearby Wootton Lower School, Chris Tavener, cut the ribbon at an opening ceremony at 9am, where all Government guidance on social distancing was adhered to.

The new store will offer an excellent range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, a fresh bakery, drinks from a self-service Costa coffee machine as well as other convenience products. The store will trade from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday and will have car parking available for customers, to make their visit even more convenient.

As well as creating 20 jobs, the new store will play an active role in the local community and will be supporting Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners. The convenience store has already supported Bizzy Bees Preschool in Wootton with some new toys and essentials.

David Button, Sainsbury’s Wootton Local Store Manager said: “The new store looks fantastic and we have a team of colleagues who are excited to welcome and serve customers, providing them with a convenient place to pick up a coffee and their favourite grocery products.
