TIBCO is buying Information Builders

TIBCO Software has agreed to acquire Information Builders, a leading data and analytics software company.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed; however, media reports suggested the target is worth USD 1.00 billion.

The acquiror is billed as a leader in enterprise data, empowers its customers to connect, unify and confidently predict business outcomes, solving some of the world’s most complex data-driven challenges.

Information Builders has a rich product portfolio and trusted data-driven solutions that are at the core of digital transformation.

The group’s comprehensive set of data management and analytics capabilities will augment TIBCO’s connected intelligence platform to more deeply address customers end-to-end needs.

Subject to regulatory approvals, among other conditions, the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.

Information Builders helps companies manage complex and disconnected data so they can build, embed and automate intelligence in everything they do.

The group’s leading data quality, preparation and integration products will support the TIBCO Any Data Hub and Responsive Application Mesh strategies.

Dan Streetman, chief executive of TIBCO, said through the acquisition the company will “gain access to a broader set of analytics and technology, greatly enhancing our ability to help the world’s leading organisations solve their most complex data problems.
