Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield Tax, Trusts And Estates Team Grows With New Hire

Emma Spicer Brings 20 Years Of Experience To Team

The Tax, Trusts and Estates team at national law firm Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office has welcomed a new paralegal to the team.

Emma Spicer began her career in the field of probate straight after graduating university, working at HSBC Trust Company (UK) Limited for fifteen years. She transferred to Chorus Law when the department was sold in 2015 and worked there for three years until the department was sold again to Co-op Legal Services in 2018 before moving to Irwin Mitchell.

In her twenty years’ experience of probate administration Emma has dealt with a great variety of complex estates, responsible for the entire administration process including liaising with executors and beneficiaries, transferring or liquidating assets and dealing with inheritance tax matters.

Expert Opinion

“I’m delighted to have someone of Emma’s calibre join our estate administration team.

“Emma joins us as one of the most experienced members of the team, so we’re very happy to expand our range of expertise as well as deliver our clients the very best service.

“We predict there will be a lot of changes to the rules when it comes to personal tax in the coming years, so Emma’s specialist knowledge will mean we’re even better equipped to handle these changes.” Chris Ellison – Chartered Legal Executive & Associate

The Sheffield Tax, Trusts and Estates team was recently ranked in tier two by leading independent legal directory The Legal 500 for its exemplary work.
