Hill Dickinson advises on acquisition of Clive Hurt (Plant Hire) Limited to Fox Brothers

Hill Dickinson’s corporate team has advised Fox Brothers on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Clive Hurt (Plant Hire) Limited. 

The acquisition brings together two of the North West’s premier operators and will create a combined business with an annual turnover of close to £50 million. Collectively, it will employ around 320 people.  

Fox Brothers acquired Clive Hurt (Plant Hire Limited) in a multi-million-pound deal. Established in 1932, Fox specialises in the supply and haulage of aggregates, recycled materials, muck-shift, earthworks and civil engineering projects.

Clive Hurt Plant Hire was established in 1971 by Clive Hurt and is one of the leading supplier of plant and machinery throughout the North West, Greater Manchester and North Wales. 

Hill Dickinson corporate partner Ian Gillis and associate Harriet Adgie led the transaction with banking support from banking partner Alasdair Mackinnon, property support from property partner Darren Hamer and associate Jon Pearson-Basudev. Employment support was provided by senior legal assistant, Paul Mills, pension support was provided by associate, Lisa Suares, commercial support was provided by associate, Ben Taylor, and regulatory support was provided by senior associate, Aoife Ryan.
