Skanska is carrying out structural work at Slussen’s new bus terminal in Stockholm, Sweden, for about SEK 620M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Development Office, City of Stockholm, to carry out structural work for Slussen’s new bus terminal in Stockholm, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 620M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden for the first quarter of 2021.

The project inside the new bus terminal at Slussen concerns structural work, including concrete- and construction work for the completed bus terminal.

Construction is expected to start on 1 June 2021, and the work will be completed on 31 August 2023.

Skanska is already carrying out four contracts at Slussen. These include the lock itself with associated drainage channels, the Slussen bridge, low bridges, docks- and reinforcement work and associated work with the marketplace that is also being built.

Skanska is one of the leading construction- and project development companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential- and commercial property projects in select home markets. The commercial development stream is also active in Denmark. Skanska had sales of about SEK 66 billion and about 14,800 employees in its Nordic operations during 2020.
