Cathay Pacific ready to support Hong Kong residents return home from the UK


Following the Hong Kong Government’s relaxation on flight restrictions originating from the UK, Cathay Pacific will be resuming scheduled passenger services from London Heathrow to Hong Kong from 8 May (Saturday) to bring Hong Kong residents home.

Increase capacity to help passengers return to Hong Kong

Cathay Pacific has scheduled 17 flights in May 2021 to help Hong Kong residents return from the United Kingdom. Operated by the Airbus A350-1000 in a three-class configuration, flights are now available for booking via cathaypacific.com.

Covid-safe operations

Providing a safe travel environment has remained the airline’s absolute priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. An array of hygiene measures have been introduced across all aspects of the journey under the airline’s Cathay Care commitment.

Passengers landing in or transiting through Hong Kong

According to the Hong Kong Government, immigration and quarantine requirements are currently in place for passengers landing in Hong Kong. Passengers ending their journeys in Hong Kong must meet immigration requirements, present a negative Covid-19 nucleic acid test certificate meeting the standards stipulated by the Hong Kong Government as well as a confirmed 21 nights hotel booking at one of the designated hotels. Passengers will be able to transit through Hong Kong if their itinerary is contained in a single booking, that they meet entry requirements at their final destination, and that the connection time between flights is within 24 hours.
